About BG

Life about BG is a continuing journey heading into ’22. When you’re honest with yourself and transparent with others it can be life-changing. After many failed blogs I had one that actually saved my life. An online community of Dallas Cowboys fans in a Facebook group. A community that ultimately gave me hope and a renewed sense of purpose as a veteran.

Here is a little back story about the previous 6 years that led me here.

In June 2016 the plan was to open and operate my own business here in the Pacific North West. A sports bar actually, with a fantasy sports concept. That fell through once getting into the weeds of the business plan with state legislation, not in favor of that kind of business model. Not just yet.

Back to the drawing board. Brainstorm ideas on how to find a niche opportunity business model. At the time I had started blogging, and was really intrigued by how to build a tribe online. I ventured into creating online courses for that industry as well. Due to that industry being seasonal primarily around one sport, it was back to the drawing board again. Life as an entrepreneur is ever-changing in this new normal.

In the early spring of 2017, I was hired into a direct sales position with Comcast in Puyallup. My role with Xfinity allowed me to continue to serve others within specific PNW communities as an Xfinity Sales Ambassador.  In August of 2019, I terminated my employment with Comcast and began my journey as an entrepreneur/ blogger. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. BANG!

Plato was a philosopher in Classical Greece and the founder of the Academy in Athens, the first institution of higher learning in the Western world

Your own brand with a unique value proposition

Finally, my previous role with Xfinity allowed me the opportunity to leverage my natural skill set. Since my hiring in 2017 and experiencing early success, I wanted to take 2022 to another level. Always bet on yourself. Personally branding myself now through written content. In addition, to network and connect with others along my blogging journey. Hoping to inspire and save at least one life along the way. Get your mind right with a Bullet Proof state of mind this year veterans!

“If you breathing you achieving.” ~BG

As a direct salesman, I knocked on doors and sold Xfinity services for a living. To complete strangers. Not the type of role many retired veterans might pursue. Especially one with a “Lone Wolf” attitude on life dealing with major depression. The truth is however, I absolutely loved it! It kept me connected with people. That gig however was the ultimate death of the character “Comcast Cowboy” along with the rebirth of BG. A boots-on-ground approach within The City Of Destiny, Tacoma, WA.

Tacoma adopted its name after the nearby Mount Rainier, originally and locally called Takhoma or Tahoma. It is locally known as the “City of Destiny” because the area was chosen to be the western terminus of the Northern Pacific Railroad in the late 19th century.

In closing

Within us all there is a personal brand. A message we send out to all who are connected to us. My mission is to share with each of you who visit here suicide prevention and awareness 4 veterans.  I will talk about a variety of topics from music, sports, religion, politics, and lastly the one medication that carried me through this all. Cannabis. After all, it is legal here in WA state. It’s only a matter of time before the rest of the US catches up.

What is it that you’re chasing in life? More money, financial freedom, physical fitness, starting a blog, or wanting to share your story with the world too? Negotiate with life, it could save your own.

Thank you for stopping by, and please leave BG a comment below so we can get to negotiating!
