Why you need Facebook REELS for your small business NOW

Chances are you’ve watched some Facebook REELS already. In case you’ve been streaming under a rock Facebook REELS are trending HARD heading into ’23. It’s imperative that small businesses and personal brands capitalize on this opportunity through video content. During ’22 I shared with my NFL fans audience about Instagram Reels. After having several Facebook Reels now go over 1 million views I wanted to share the secret sauce with other like-minded Fan Base Creators.

Facebook REELs currently has a monetary challenge underway for select content creators. In addition, the platform allowed those with personal profiles to convert them into “Digital Creators” for the chance to monetize their followers through content posted on the platform. Via a virtual currency called “Facebook Stars.” Why is this important?

According to STATISTA, the average cell phone user spends about 4.5 hours daily on their device. This does not include talking or texting. Interesting right? If you take that little nugget as a business owner it’s time in ’23 for you to capitalize on Facebook REELS. Video on social media is now the primary choice of content for users.

Favor Ain’t Fair with Facebook REELS

What is a Facebook REEL? A full-screen vertical video that can be up to 90 seconds long. You can create REELS with the platform’s vast editing tools and an extensive library of audio tracks. It offers your customer a chance to glance at your product or services. In addition, personal brands can show off their creativity.

Did you know that Facebook owns Instagram? With that, you can create reels to share simultaneously on both platforms. Both platforms favor REELS uploaded and push them to a wider audience. This is to help the platform retain users in the app through video content. Why is that important to know?

Any small business or personal brand that creates REELS can use them to advertise and promote through vertical video. The best part is they’re essentially a FREE marketing tool getting pushed to potential customers with this favorable algorithm. FREE advertising is always better than paying for it on both platforms.

How to create quality REELS for social media

My favorite TOOL to use when creating a REEL is CANVA. This tool offers both FREE and PAID monthly subscriptions. It’s the perfect tool for any NFL Fan Base Creator. I have used this tool for the better part of 5 years. Canva has allowed me the opportunity to specialize in the creation of REELs thanks to its built-in formats for an Instagram Story.

The largest trend I currently see is that MEMEs have transcended into vertical video MEMEs. Take for instance the Instagram REEL I have embedded below. Through Canva I can even add photos to the correct vertical format of the video, and add your brand logo. Furthermore giving the viewer greater context. Thanks to the favorable algorithm and recommendation of this REEL to be shared on Facebook it was pushed to a wider USER audience REELing in over 14k Views.

Create REELs Get Paid

The best way to get started with REELs is to just dive in and start creating. Learning all the bells and whistles (editing tools) through trial and error. I started my #itsgot2breel campaign on Facebook during the summer of ’22. Within 6 months of creating and posting REELs religiously, it gives the platform what it wants in content. That in turn has helped me mass over 10 Million views collectively.

At the same time, it pushes that content to USERS on the platform you may have never reached otherwise. Again, if you’re a small business or personal brand this is your opportunity to get your products and services in front of millions on both platforms. The best part for Fan Base Creators is you get paid to create engaging REELS!

Facebook also kindly handed out STARS (Facebook Virtual Currency) to some of my followers to reward my creativity as a result. I never thought I would have a career in social media or become an influencer. With the help of Facebook REELs it has become a REALITY. The proof is always in the pudding so here it is.

In Conclusion

My favorite notification on Facebook now is when someone gives my content STARS. Imagine your small business or personal brand making money while you sleep! Is that not the goal? I mean, after all, we spend over 4.5 hours daily on our mobile phones. That in itself is over half a FULL workday. What’s your ROI?
